The article presents the results of empirical survey of the needs of physically challenged people in urban conditions. The survey was conducted using the method of indepth interview analysis. The given method allowed determin ing a variety of social contexts physically challenged people live in, as well as reveal common problem zones of their living world. The survey has been prepared for urban group specializing in the development of policy and prac tice of social services of Kharkiv.
