The article studies the problem of the level of trust of the Ukraine’s population to the activity of deputies of the Verkhovna Rada of the I–IV convocations, political parties, and movements, as an element of the parliamentary structure, on the basis of data of the monitoring performed by the Institute of Sociology of the NAS of Ukraine in 1991, 1994–2006. A special attention is paid to the low level of trust in the political parties and movements, some deputies of the Verkhovna Rada, and political leaders and to the factor of the presence of many parties in the parliamentary system.
