Dealing with student’s social problems: the role of student councils


Analysis of the activities run by student social services in eight higher education institutions of Kiev city clearly demonstrated that the employed methods and techniques of social work strongly depended on the nature and particular features of the education institution. The study proved that effective social interventions required a proper analysis of a social problems, including their location and nature, and the target audience, in particular, young people.
