Social situation as a factor indicating social and political attitudes of the Ukrainian youth
The article examines the social situation of the Ukrainian youth in the context of youth people’ social and political attitudes and preferences. It is demonstrated that this correlation is less evident in the youth population as compared with old age groups. The support to the country’s sovereignty, democratic values and market economy has become an ideological cliché for many young people. At the same time, young people are rather critical about many social realities of contemporary Ukraine, which contributes to the ‘conflict capacity’ in the youth environment.
