Some aspects of gender identification and individual socialisation

The article outlines the main aspects of gender socialization and selfidentity. The concept of gender socialization is illustrated by a number of theories and research data, in particular the public perception of ‘ideal man’ and ‘ideal woman’. The article provides a comparative analysis of public perceptions of female and male social roles and images.
