The main points of the term «civism» are viewed in the article, it is defined as social freedom of individual and his/her highest responsibility to mother land. Acuteness of problem considering civil position formation nowadays in Ukraine is argued. Conclusion about responsibility of intelligentsia, first of all teachers, higher educational pedagogues for civil position formation among students is proved.
