Azerbaijan and Ukraine: common destinies, differences of progress, ways of interaction
In the presented conversation of audio recording of the Azeri political scientist E. Guliyev and doctor of sociological sciences, professor of the National Academy of Public Administration under the President of Ukraine E. Afonin together with the scientists from the Institute of Economics and Forecasting of NAS of Ukraine suggested is the analysis and evaluation of contemporary sociopolitical and economic situation in Ukraine and Azerbaijan; international response and evaluation of the consequences of the annexation by Russia of the Crimea and its support for separatist movements in Eastern Ukraine, a comparison with the events in Azerbaijan, in Nagornyi Karabakh is given.
Interlocutors instituted a number of economic cooperation aspects between Ukraine and Azerbaijan. Along with the traditional economic and political engines of social processes, socio-cultural factor is discussed as a priority factor. Also suggested is a critical look at the existing system of international security.
