The formation of business elite in Central European countries

The article analyzes the process of forming of business elites in Countries of Central Europe. Admission of foreign investors to the mass privatization of state property caused the phenomenon of “capitalism without capitalists”. The driving forces of reformation of the economy became technocrats and intellectuals, because range of influence was limited. A few stratum of the local owners of large capital was formed due to the entrepreneurial activity, developing mainly new, for the post socialistic economies, sectors.
