Trends in civic engagement and the trust level in Ukraine

Based on the data from national monitoring surveys, the authors demonstrate the trends of civic engagement and the level of trust in public institutions in Ukraine. The article dwells upon the specifics of interpretation of trust in contemporary sociological thought and analyzes its place in the society. It is established that in the social realities of today the phenomenon of trust is one of the main parameters of social capital formation and accumulation, which creates social integrity.
