Середній клас як активний суб’єкт соціальних трансформацій в Україні

The article presents an attempt to give methodological grounds to the role of the middle class as the active subject of social transformations in Ukraine. The analysis of social research data gave the possibility to define the main characteristics and qualities, which determine specific character of the mod ern middle class as well as to enumerate a number of factors of conditions influencing the formation of this social stratum in Ukraine.
