Мовні реалії українського суспільства

The results of the sociological study (which was performed by the Institute of Sociology of the NAS of Ukraine in May of 2007) of the functioning of languages in the Ukrainian society are analyzed. The author indicates the complexity and acuteness of this socio-cultural phenomenon and warns against any voluntaristic measures of the state in this sphere.
