The potential of a district militia officer in the formation of social ideas of the militia and peculiarities of its influence on the public opinion in this aspect are analyzed. The study testifies to the presence of a significant of influence of this category of law,defenders on the people. However, this potential is not used systematically, purposefully, and efficiently.
