The article is devoted to the research of the basic principles of formation and functioning of the agrarian market, the development and substantiation of perspective directions of its development and improvement of activity of the market subjects. The article defines directions of state regulation of the agrarian market. To improve agrarian market it is offered to increase a degree of infrastructural development of the market: to generate a network of the wholesale markets in cities; to increase the volume of production, that is realized by direct connections and prices that define supply and demand; to liquidate administrative barrier for interregional production movement; to develop transport communications, system of production storage.
