Проблема відновлення серединного класу у контексті глобальної трансформації соціальної структури суспільства

На рубежі століть і тисячоліть суспільні відносини в більшості країн світу зазнали суттєвих модифікацій. Глобальні ринкові трансформації, які тривалий час визрівали в господарських системах розвинутих країн, були пов’язані зі становленням “нової” (інформаційно-мережевої) економіки. Наприкінці ХХ ст. вони сформували передумови для трансформування патерна­лістської моделі соціальної ринкової держави та зумовили суспільний запит на системні структурні реформи. У процесі таких реформ соціальна структура суспільства зазнала суттєвих змін. Посилилася проблема соціальної нерівності, середній клас піддався розщепленню, сформувався значний соціальний сегмент (прекаріат) з нестабільною зайнятістю та хиткими соціально-економічними перспективами. До сьогодні тенденцію соціального розшарування не подолано. Закономірності нормального відтворення серединних соціальних верств, які охоплюють більшість населення, в умовах інформаційної економіки залишаються недостатньо вивченими. Для України розуміння глобальних тенденцій модифікації соціальної структури має особливе значення: ринкове трансформування національної економіки не призвело до становлення інституту соціальної відповідальності бізнесу та зміцнення позицій середнього класу. Отже, підвищення загального добробуту населення залишається на порядку денному. У контексті подолання глибинних соціально-економічних протиріч актуальною є ініціатива вітчизняної наукової школи, пов’язана з ідентифікацією новітнього середнього класу як серединного класу або медіум-класу, який формується відповідно до логіки становлення інформаційно-мережевої економіки. Такий клас відрізняється стійким соціально-економічним становищем у суспільстві та здатний розширювати свої межі (охопити більшість населення) навіть в умовах загального збільшення нерівності.
