On the basis of the public4opinion poll performed by the International women right4protecting center «la Strada–Ukraine», the author discusses the atti4 tude of Ukraine’s population to the application of corporal punishments to children and the degree of prevalence of this method of «education» and proposes a program of elucidative work among parents with the purpose to counteract the manifestations of violence and cruelty in families.
